38 Hour Pre-Licensing Course (30 Hours of Classroom Instruction and 8 hours of behind the wheel driving in a dual-brake vehicle. Minimum age 14.9 years old) Must pass a comprehensive written examination with a score of 80% or higher upon completion of the 30 hour portion prior to beginning the behind-the-wheel training. The classroom phase is broken into 4 days and the curriculum consist of basic driving maneuvers, driving strategy, driving in city traffic, using the IPDE driving system, highway and interstate driving, Louisiana laws, understanding signs and signals and dangers of drugs and alcohol and driving. Upon completion of the classroom phase, the student will then be scheduled for 8 hours of behind -the -wheel training with a certified driving instructor in a dual-brake vehicle. Upon completion of a score of at least 80% on the 8 hour behind-the-wheel portion, the student will receive a 38 Hour Successful Completion Certificate to take to Department of Motor Vehicles to apply for a learners permit. Once learners permit is obtained, student is authorized to drive with a licensed parent, guardian, or adult at least 21 years of age or older. Must maintain learner's license for a minimum of 180 days and cannot apply for permanent license until sixteenth birthday. 14 HOUR PRE-LICENSING COURSE (18 AND OLDER INCLUDES 6 HOURS DEFENSIVE DRIVING AND 8 HOURS BEHIND THE WHEEL DRIVING.) Upon completion of the 6 hour classroom phase by passsing the DMV Exam with a score 80%, the student will then be scheduled for 8 hours of behind -the -wheel training with a certified driving instructor in a dual-brake vehicle. Upon completion of the driving phase, a score of at least 80% on the 8 hour behind-the-wheel portion, the student will receive a 14 Hour Successful Completion Certificate to take to Department of Motor Vehicles to apply for a license. 6 Hour Pre-Licensing (6 Hour Classroom only) This course is required for anyone age 17 and older applying for a driver's license for the first time. It consists of: Defensive Driving, Signs, Signals, Highway Markings Rules of the Road and Administrative Laws This class will prepare you for the written test at the Department of Public Safety. A passing score of 80% is required before a Certificate of Completion will be issued. Class Fee: $60.00
Third Party Testing (Road test) We are certified through the office of motor vehicles to administer the third party test. This fee is for the road test and the use of our personal vehicle to complete the requirements to obtain your License by appointment only. Defensive Driving (4 Hours) This course will cover misdemeanor traffic violations. You may take this class prior to your court date and submit your certificate when paying your fine. Check with your insurance company regarding how often you can take this course to qualify for their discount. Class Fee: $60.00
Free home or school pickup (Call or email us for details) To make driver education as convenient as possible for you, we pick up and drop off our students at home, school or sports practice within a 5 mile radius of our home office for the in-car lessons.* Any student that is more than 15 minutes late for a driving session without at least a one hour prior notice to scheduled driving instructor will forfeit that 2 hour session and will be required to pay an additional hourly rate of $50.00 per hour to satisfy remaining time due to being late.* *Prices are subject to change without notice* Methods of payment: All major credit cards (All credit cards will be assessed a $8.00 service fee) and cash only!
GRIEVANCE POLICY: Ace Driving Academy and Court School will work diligently to resolve all issues that arise as a result of a student’s enrollment in a course. Ace Driving Academy will meet with parents and students to reach an amicable resolution. “Any grievance(s) not resolved by the school may be forwarded to the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Public Safety Services, Office of Motor Vehicles, Attn.: Training and Certification Unit, P.O. Box 64886, Baton Rouge, LA, 70896-4886.”
REFUND POLICY: Any student that has paid for a class/driving session and has completed the first day/driving session will not be entitled to a refund. Any refund request must be received in writing and the reason for requesting the refund. The written request does not guarantee a refund. All students registering for class must have proper ID (birth certificate with seal and serial number, Social Security card, photo id, passport, etc.).
